TREAT PATTERNS IN FABRICS AS A NEUTRAL

There are some rules in mixing and matching. One of the rules is to treat patterns in fabrics as a neutral. They will go with just about everything so mix them with bolder patterns like colored florals. It will give your look an edge.

INVERT THE COLORS

Choose different patterns in the same hues is always the key. You are free to combine inverse colors like wearing a black outerwear with white florals alongside with white garment with black stripes.

TEAM UP BASE COLORS

Mixing totally different patterns is recommended, especially if you know how to team it up with another print with same base color. In the fashion world, this holds the same weight as wearing a solid.
