HOW TO WEAR BOOTS AND STILL LOOK TALL

July 18, 2017

The most interesting thing about fashion is that it can make or break your look. It can make you look thinner or taller. It can also make you look curvier or shorter. So it really depends on how you want to look.

But I bet most of us want to look taller so I totally understand when women with average Asian height (like me) hesitate to wear thigh-high boots. Paired with the wrong outfit, then we can actually look a lot shorter. So here’s the secret: leave a skin gap between your thigh-high boots and your outfits to create the illusion of tall and lean figure. For instance, you can pair the boots with miniskirts or shorts – so long as it leaves a gap (meaning you show some skin) between your outfit and your boots.

For my outfit of the day, I paired my black boots with a mini outerwear layering a turtleneck. To create a curvy silhouette, I put on a belt and finished the whole look with sling bag and tinted glasses.
