For those of you who have met me in person would know that I do not exactly have a top model-like figure. I am not exactly petite as well, but my clothes sizes are between 0 or 2. But I have tons of questions coming in everyday, asking me the right style to look tall. With that, scroll down to read my simple tips to achieve the look you want.

WEAR FLARES

Logically, flares can help you ‘take more spaces’ than you actually are as a petite girl. Even though some of you may think flares are too much or too fashionable for you, you can start by choosing a flare sleeves mini dress.

CHOOSE A HIGH-WAISTED PAIR OF JEANS

A high-waisted pair of jeans does have their place today – and you are in luck because this trend definitely makes everyone appears to have really, really long legs. To maximize the impact, you can also choose high-waisted jeans with the flare starting at the knee.

PICK A MAXI DRESS WITH A SPLIT

Maxi dresses tend to intimidate petite girls, but I hope it won’t be the case with you after reading this. For petite girls, choose a dress with a side split that will counteract the blocky, frumpy feel and give more definition and balance to smaller figures.

OPT FOR SKIRTS THAT SITS ABOVE THE KNEE

The trick of styling as a petite girl is to show some skin; so if you are wearing something decent as the top, you can pair it with a skirt that shows a little more leg and flares so it will give you more movement and elongate your legs even further.

WEAR SKIRTS, AVOID CHUNKY SHOES

If you happen to love midi or maxi skirt, you are better off avoiding chunky shoes. Heels with an ankle strap are fine, as long as the strap is thin and delicate.
