Whether it is your job interview or your first date – or basically any day – you’d want to look neat and presentable. However, during my course of becoming a fashion influencer, I have seen several common outfit mistakes that I believe, as small details as they are, affect your appearance negatively. So before heading out today, check out the list and make sure you are not making the same mistakes.

MISTAKE 1: NOT IRONING YOUR OUTFIT

Okay, some outfits are meant to be wrinkly, but most outfits are not. In our busiest days, it is perfectly fine to let a little wrinkle stay – but I have found some people who simply did not iron their outfit. Life hack: buy a steamer iron because you can iron your outfit easily and it really doesn’t take more than 5 minutes.

MISTAKE 2: WEARING THE WRONG SIZE

I have been there: too lazy to try the clothes on before buying it or carefully measured my body and I ended up buying one size too big or too small. If it is too big, you will end up looking sloppy – and if it is too small, you will end up looking not comfortable. So, choose your size carefully.

MISTAKE 3: THE VISIBLE BRA STRAP

In my opinion, bra straps are really, really annoying. That is why in daily basis, I always wear strapless bras or nipple cover. But some people argue how uncomfortable strapless bras are. I understand, but I really do think bra straps – no matter how you try to conceal it with clear bra straps – are not for show.

MISTAKE 4: MIXING THE WRONG LAYER

I have seen people wearing a gorgeous looking V-neckline-whatever, and maybe because they are not confident enough, they put on tank tops or tube tops underneath. I personally don’t recommend it. The designers have beautifully designed the V-neckline and it is not to be messed up. It ruins the basic design in the worst way possible. So if you are not confident in wearing deep V-neckline or backless dress, please don’t wear it at all – and definitely don’t layer it with a tank top or tube tops.

MISTAKE 5: WEARING POORLY FITTED SHOES

Whether the shoes are too small or too big, I have seen some girls ‘limping’ their steps because of the poorly fitted shoes. No matter how pretty your shoes are, but if you can’t walk elegantly in it, it is not a good shoes.
