For some people, travel and fashion do not go hand-in-hand. But today, may I disagree and tell you otherwise? It’s because personally, I think traveling is one way to wear totally different styles that you won’t think of in your own country. For example, here in Jakarta, I won’t even think about wearing coats in layers – so I take every opportunity overseas

But today, may I disagree and tell you otherwise? It’s because personally, I think traveling is one way to wear totally different styles that you won’t think of in your own country. For example, here in Jakarta, I won’t even think about wearing coats in layers – so I take every traveling opportunity to take out my coats and style them (in appropriate weather, of course).

And yet a lot of people always wonder how to pack those fashion items. Obviously, I myself don’t fancy traveling with tons of luggage. But I understand that to pack fashion items might be challenging. So today, I’d like to share some fashion items to bring that won’t take up too many spaces (but will still make you look super stylish on the road).

BELT

Dressing up is a lot more fun and versatile with a belt. It’s a tiny accessory that you can squeeze between your clothes, and make a huge difference in your style. You can wear your coats, dresses, or jumpsuit for the second time but look totally different by adding a belt. My recommendation is to bring a belt that is in a neutral color, medium width (not too wide and not too narrow) with a touch of gold.

SUNNIES

For sunnies, you don’t have to bring more than one. Sunnies take many spaces – because if you do not wrap it with a hard case, you will break it. So choose one sunnies and stick with it.

BAGS

For bags, I usually bring two handbags. The first handbag is the one in medium size. It is the bag that I will bring with me on the plane. I will put my sunnies, chargers, passports, wallets, and all my travel miscellaneous there. The second handbag is the one in small size. Whenever I arrived at my hotel, I will put away my medium sized handbag and take the small one instead so I walk around the city with ease.

SHOES

Depending on the occasion, I usually bring two shoes. One is the sneakers, and the other one is the heels. But if there is no formal occasion to wear heels, I’d bring my fashion shoes instead. For example gladiator sandals, or slip-on – in which are stylish enough to pair it with different outfits, but comfortable enough for me to walk around. Anyway, I normally fly with sneakers because I’d want to get as comfortable as I can.

SCARF

A scarf is my favorite one. It is super versatile and definitely won’t take up too many spaces. I can wear the most boring clothes – and with a touch of scarf, it will bring my outfit to the next level effortlessly.
