I guess it is safe to say that everyone wants to look good in pictures, especially the ones we will post on Instagram. As someone who takes pictures (almost) daily, I get this questions a lot: be it from close friends or new acquaintances. So today I’m thinking to share my tips and trick on how to look amazing in Instagram pictures – or basically, any pictures.

PUT ON GOOD POSTURES

I believe that it doesn’t matter if you are tall or not, you can always try the ‘invisible heels’ pose. Try to tiptoe around one or two inches off your heels, and put one foot forward to create the illusion of thin, long and beautiful legs. This also elevates your body posture as a whole so it will look much better in pictures.

GO FAKE WALKING

The tiptoe thing can be combined with fake walking. By fake walking, you can give your pictures a bit of motion so you don’t look awkward while posing; and on the other hand, you are posing without trying too hard.

BODY: PLAY WITH ANGLES

When posing for a picture, try to work on body angles. The easiest way is to slant your body away from the camera – just a little bit around 75-degree angle so you will look much leaner. Another body angle tips, you can play with your shoulders. Try to lower one of your shoulders down.

CREATE SHAPES

To look good on any pictures, you also can try to create triangular shapes with your body: your legs and arms, especially with you are sitting down. Point your toes, bend your knees, and tiptoe.
