Some mornings can be a real struggle to get up and dress up – even for me. There were times when I was just too tired to put on my face and wonder if it is okay to have a meeting with unwashed hair.
But after being in the fashion industry for years (where it is within my job description to look my best every day), there are few tricks to look polished no matter how lazy I am. So today, I will be sharing my core tips that always work to look sleek everyday.
INVEST IN A STATEMENT OUTERWEAR
If you look at high-end models with their street styles, you will notice that a statement outerwear is the number one rule. No matter how lazy you are, you can always put on a plain baggy dress and layer it with a statement outerwear. Or, you can put on plain white T’s and a jeans to then layer it with a statement outerwear.
PUT ON RED LIPS
Basic rule is, the lazier you get, the redder your lips should be – or at least, mine. In my opinion, nude lipstick only works when your makeup is on-fleek and your outfit is super chic. But in those lazy days where you only want to wear baggy dress, then red lips would make you look super polished.
SLIP ON PAIR OF SUNNIES
Especially when you are on holiday, it is easy to get super lazy. Sunnies is definitely my answer for those days when I put on no eye makeup.
ALWAYS WEAR A WATCH
Handwatch is the real definition of fashion-savior. Try this: wear your lousiest outfit and add a watch. Just a handwatch and nothing else: you’d look more together now. I don’t know what magic that is, but it is very much worth to try.
CARRY BLOTTING PAPERS
I get that korean makeups emphasize on healthy and glowing skin, but oily skin is a big no-no. So my last tips is to always stock up blotting papers in your bag to absorb unwanted oil without removing your makeup.
