Working in fashion industry, I have tried thousands of different styles. During the first few years of my career, I was very self-conscious. I double-checked everything, from every angle – all day long. I perfectly understand the feeling when people asked me about being and feeling confident.

As time goes by, now I have confidence that goes auto-pilot. But it was not without any effort. So today I am sharing simple tips that are sure to help you feeling confident in anything you wear.

LEARN HOW TO FLATTER YOUR BODY

Every woman has different body type. The first step is to know which one is yours – which style flatters your body and which style doesn’t. And the most important part is to embrace your best features by knowing which areas to flaunt and which to mask.

NEVER LEAVE FEELING UNSURE ABOUT YOUR OUTFIT

Feeling unsure is the core of the damage. Even though perhaps technically, you are looking great, but if you are feeling uncertain, odds are you won’t feel confident in public as well. So spend another 2 minutes to look into the mirror and finalise your outfit.

…BUT DON’T BE AFRAID TO TAKE A FEW RISKS

Fashion is an art – and it’s quite impossible to grow an art without stretching out of your comfort zone. The simplest way is to notice the style you like in others, and then apply some of those components to your own style. You may start in small steps, like adding colours through a scarf – or try that off-shoulder top that you have been dying to try. It is less about your flaws, but more about how we perceive flaws.

COMFORT IS THE KEY

When you feel comfortable, you feel confident. It is a simple equation that is often overlooked. This doesn’t mean you are free to rock sweatpants for the big meeting, but rather about rocking the most stylish version of yourself, without neglecting your comfort.

These rules might seem very simple; but you can always swear on them. Have a nice week ahead, everyone – and remember to dress up with confidence.
