I have a confession: It’s true that I’m working in fashion industry, but I don’t have unlimited super-cool wardrobes like in the Hollywood movies. Sometimes, I just make a little tweak here and there to work the magic. So today, I want to share a little styling tips and tricks that I have learned along the way to make my outfit looks (more) lavish and fresh than it actually is. Some tips might be a little obvious, but often overlooked. Scroll down to find out the tricks that you can try right away.
THE SIMPLER, THE BETTER
A lot of people assume that the more intricate the outfit is, the more lavish-looking it will be. Not necessarily true. If you try to browse through Pinterest, you’ll see that the simpler it is, the better. Take Kate Middleton. She has the access to a lot of famous designer pieces with intricate designs, but most of the time, simpler outfits can do better tricks. My best advice is to dress in tonal colours, like all white or all black. A monochrome outfit always elevates the whole look and it has been a safe colour range.

GOLD ACCESSORIES
You can never go wrong with structural, gilded accessories. Combined with simple outfit, adding gold accessories can take your fashion game to a whole new level. But still remember, everything is about the right balance.

RED LIPS
I know this has nothing to do with your outfit, but believe me. Red lips matter. This can elevate any looks in a matter of seconds. Also, it adds the element of chic and classy in an instant.
SUNNIES
It goes without saying that a good pair of sunglasses is what you need to keep your fashion game on. Sunnies shouts stylish and elegant in a very classy way. Whenever I need to boost my fashion game, I always bring my sunnies along.

STRUCTURED BAG
Structured bag has its own way of screaming ‘expensive’. Whether it’s a large, medium, or small-sized one, structured bags look luxurious than non-structured bags. You can play with colours if you want, but always go with this type of bag.

TURTLENECK
This is one of my ultimate fashion items ever. It is simply because turtleneck makes any girl look classy, and definitely taller. Whether it’s sleeveless or sweater, turtlenecks are one of the keys to make your outfit seems more lavish.

POINTY-TOE SHOES
I love to compliment my looks with pointy-toe shoes; especially in the days when I’m in the mood for something classy. Pointy-toe shoes create a silhouette of longer and leaner legs. And who doesn’t want that? They are basically classic and sexy – and if you are aiming to look edgy and sleek, you can play on the colours and ornamentations.
